Who We Are
California is one of the largest and most diverse economies in the world — from AI and aerospace to agriculture and arts and entertainment. This complex marketplace is regulated and governed by Sacramento. With nearly 40 million residents, Californians deserve accountability and transparency from our state leaders as well as a watchdog to ensure businesses operate with safety and fairness.
What We Stand For
The California Consumer Advocates for Affordability and Safety is dedicated to tirelessly championing the rights and interests of consumers across California. Our organization serves as the united voice of consumers advocating for affordability, accountability, and safety.
Areas of Focus
Consumer rights: CCA works to provide resources and information that empower consumers. We conduct outreach programs to enhance consumer awareness and promote financial literacy and responsible consumer behavior.
Cost of living: We actively work towards ensuring that essential goods and services are affordable for all Californians. We engage with policymakers, businesses, and the community to promote and enact policies that support affordability.
Accountability and transparency: CCA fights to hold elected and appointed officials and institutions accountable and advocate for transparent and ethical conduct in the marketplace.
Coalition building: We participate in coalitions and partnerships with like-minded organizations to amplify the consumer advocacy voice. CCA collaborates with diverse stakeholders to address systemic issues affecting affordability
Legislative and regulatory advocacy: We engage with state legislators to influence policies that directly impact consumer affordability and rights. CCA monitors and analyzes proposed statewide legislation, regulations, and ballot measures to identify potential impacts to consumers.
